Defender keen to learn if he is part of Freedman's plans

Crystal Palace defender Adam Barrett is planning to discuss his future with manager Dougie Freedman at the end of the season. Barrett has struggled to make an impact at Palace since joining from Southend United last summer and has featured just once since Freedman took charge at the start of 2011. He is currently on loan at Leyton Orient, but is keen to find out if he will be part of Freedman's plans for the 2011/12 campaign. "Hopefully Palace can stay up and then I'm going to have to sit down with Dougie and see what ideas he has got," Barrett told the South London Press. "I know he'll be very honest with me and I'll be the same back. I've got no problem with that. "Any player has that discussion with the manager. I've got another year left at the club. "If he turns around and says that I'm not going anywhere then I'll get my head down and work as hard as I can for him."
