O's beat Town to sign defender

Leyton Orient have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of defender Adam Barrett from Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old defender has signed on a month's loan and will stay at Brisbane Road until April 12. O's manager Russell Slade is delighted to add the defender's experience to his squad. "I'm really pleased that we've been able to sign Adam on loan. He decided to join us over Huddersfield, which is a real compliment to the football club," he told the club's official website. "He'll bring experience to us, as well as a cultured left foot, at a time when we've been without Ben Chorley with injury. "I'm fully aware that Elliot Omozusi and Terrell Forbes have done well in his absence, but Adam's an out-and-out number five and will prove to be a big asset for us over the coming games."
