AFC Wimbledon midfielder Tom Beere could need a fitness check ahead of the FA Cup trip to York this weekend.
The 19-year-old had to pull out of the squad at Northampton on Saturday due to a toe injury, with George Oakley drafted in as a late replacement on the bench. "Tom's got a bit of an infected toe," said Dons manager Neal Ardley. "It didn't seem so bad when he trained on Friday but it started bleeding again and got really sore, to the point where he could hardly put any pressure on it." Striker Oakley, 18, went on to make his debut as a late substitute as the Dons crashed 2-0 at Sixfields.
