Scotland boss Craig Levein has called up Cardiff midfielder Don Cowie for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Belgium.
Cowie replaces Celtic captain Scott Brown who has been struggling with a hip problem and was substituted at half-time during Friday's 2-1 defeat to Wales.
The 29-year-old, who has made 10 appearances for Scotland, took part in Sunday's training session on familiar territory at Cardiff City Stadium.
James Forrest was unable to train on Sunday as he was undergoing treatment on a groin injury and the Celtic winger was later withdrawn from the Scottish party ahead of their flight to Brussels.
Blackburn forward Jordan Rhodes and Norwich midfielder Robert Snodgrass will miss the Group A match at the Baudouin Stadium after withdrawing from the squad last week, while Everton midfielder Steven Naismith will complete his two-match ban.
Belgium, who claimed an impressive 3-0 win in Serbia on Friday, will be without injured pair Merouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku against the Scots, who have picked up only two points from their three group games so far.
