David Silva insists Manchester City must treat all 11 of their remaining Premier League games this season like cup finals as they push for the title.

Leaders City currently sit two points ahead of local rivals Manchester United in the table to set up what promises to be a tight run-in.

Silva, who travels to Swansea with City on Sunday, is adamant his side must treat every game with maximum importance.

Decisive

"After my two seasons in England I know there is no such thing as an easy match," he told the Sun on Sunday.

"Now each one is a like a cup final because both ourselves and United need all the victories we can get because, in the end, just one point could be decisive."

The Spanish playmaker knows City's meeting with United in April could prove decisive to the title race but is taking confidence from their 6-1 demolition of Sir Alex Ferguson's side at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

"The Manchester derby in April will be very important," he added.

"If we maintain a two-point advantage going into it and increase our lead to five by beating United it will calm us all - but we know it will a very complicated game.

"United defeated us in the FA Cup after we won 6-1 at Old Trafford, so revenge will be in the air.

"United have more experience of these situations than us but I am convinced City offered the better game. Fans enjoy watching our attacking play and we deserve to be the league leaders."

Silva says celebrations will be huge if City do clinch the title, and has backed team-mates Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and the returning Carlos Tevez to head the festivities.

Mad festival

He said: "There is only one fear in our squad - my promise that I will organise a mad festival if we win the Premier League.

"We have Sergio and his arrival this season has increased the 'Spanish' flavour.

"We also have the 'king of anecdotes' in Mario, who is so unpredictable both on the field and the street - and then we have plenty of controversy in Carlos.

"Actually we all know he is a big player and we are glad to have Carlos back. He really could help us in the decisive final stage of the season."
