Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed that he will leave Arsenal before the transfer window closes.

Denmark international the subject of interest from clubs

Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed that he will leave Arsenal before the transfer window closes. The 23-year-old has been linked with an exit from the Emirates throughout the summer and it now seems a move will materialise in the coming weeks. Bendtner missed the majority of the campaign through injury last year and now appears ready for a fresh challenge after falling out of manager Arsene Wenger's favour. Asked if he was poised to leave Arsenal the striker, on international duty with Denmark ahead of their friendly game against Scotland on Wednesday, replied: "Yes. I have done my part as well as I can and it's up to Arsenal now to sort it out, I can't do anything more.

Important

"Hopefully it will be sorted soon but as I said to the Danish press, when I know something they will. "I would like to play at a place where you are happy and play every week, that is the most important thing for any football player and hopefully that will happen soon." Stoke City are one team in the Premier League that have been continually linked with a move for the Dane. But he was coy when pressed on whether they were one of the suitors he had spoken too. He laughed and added: "I can't say anything about who I have been speaking to, but hopefully it will get sorted soon."
