You head to skysports.com to find out who we're talking about in England's campaign to be European Champions.
So we thought we would take a look at who you're talking about as well, by bringing you our very own buzz monitor throughout the tournament!
And here's what you're saying today, on the morning after that familiar night before!
One of these days, England will win a quarter final...on penalties...and we'll be booking Heathrow Airport for the welcome home celebrations as Wayne Rooney dons a plastic bust! Today is not that day.
Once again, it's the quarter finals, once again it's penalties and once again the inquest will start on where it all wrong. But you know what, it's not all that bad. When you don't expect of something, you are more understanding when it doesn't deliver, right?
Well not if your name is Ashley! It will come as no surprise that the pair of Ash's in the England squad top our buzz monitor as they prepare to fly home. Missing from 12 yards tends to have that effect.
Mr Young sneaked home in front, 22.6% of the buzz was around the Man United winger and of course that penalty. But we want to be kind to him, so try to ignore any sarcasm the below tweet may have been meant with.
@JamesMawFFT Fair play to Ashley Young - brilliant level of consistency in this tournament...
The other Ashley (Cole, not that character from Coronation Street!) brought in 20.6% of the buzz in second spot. His fate was also sealed from the spot, and cued the inevitable jokes regarding his ex-wife. But we're far more highbrow on the buzz monitor, and when in doubt, we bring on a hair reference.
@mekondjo Ashley Cole's Mohawk was his downfall. The Universe does not reward mohawks #Euro2012
Probably has a point!
Talking of being the expense of a joke or two, John Terry remains the king of the unprintable joke tweet. But for once it was his performance last night that merited some of the 13.8% of the buzz he achieved, even if it hurt some people to tweet it.
@DiabeticRik It pains me to say it but John Terry was our outstanding player of the tournament, a rock at the back
Finally, what of Phil Jagielka? Once again bottom of the buzz charts (we suspect because his surname is trickier to spell!) and once again unused against Italy. This tweet summed it all up...
@RobynVC I had no idea Phil Jagielka was even here #lol
I'm sure right now, a few in the England squad would swap places with him!
