The Football Association has announced that Ray Lewington will form part of Roy Hodgson's coaching team when he takes the England reins.
The FA got its man on Tuesday, with Hodgson committing to a four-year contract as the new manager of the England national side.
He will fill the post on a full-time basis from the end of the 2011/12 Premier League season, with it agreed that he will see out West Brom's final two games of the campaign.
Hodgson's focus will then shift to international football and a crack at Euro 2012 glory this summer.
If England to live up to expectations in Ukraine and Poland, it is imperative that they travel with the right team on and off the field.
Lewington will form part of their backroom staff, with Hodgson hoping his experience can be put to good use.
Delighted
The former Fulham and Watford manager has spent the last seven years on the books at Craven Cottage, during which time he has worked alongside Hodgson.
"I'm delighted that Fulham have agreed to Ray joining the England coaching staff for the summer," Hodgson told the FA's
official website.
"I know Ray well and enjoyed working with him at Craven Cottage.
"He's a very good coach and the players will I'm sure enjoy working with him.
"We're currently finalising the rest of the coaching staff but it's great to have Ray confirmed.
"I'd like to thank Fulham for agreeing to this."
