City coach set to discuss Tevez saga with Al-Mubarak

Sky Sports sources understand Man City boss Roberto Mancini is to discuss the Carlos Tevez row with the club's board on Thursday. The Blues have taken the decision to suspend the Argentine striker following his alleged refusal to step off the bench during Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Tevez has refuted the claims, but he must now stay away from the club's training base until after the international break. City are hoping the situation will have been resolved one way or another by then, with discussions set to be held regarding what course of action to take.

Disillusioned

The club have already backed Mancini by suspending Tevez, but the Italian coach will hold further talks with those above him in the Ethiad Stadium chain of command. It is understood that he will be in contact with City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak on Thursday. They will debate how best to deal with the Tevez saga and how to handle an obviously disillusioned player. It is not expected that owner Sheikh Mansour will be directly involved in the talks, but he will be kept up to date with how events are unfolding.
