Burton have completed the signing of Lucas Akins from Stevenage for an undisclosed fee.

The winger has agreed a two-year deal with last season's League Two play-off finalists. Akins, 25, moves to the Pirelli Stadium after spending two years at Boro, where he scored 15 goals in 86 appearances. "It's a deal we've worked hard to try and conclude, and through it all Lucas was very keen to come and join us," said Brewers boss Gary Rowett. "It's an excellent deal for the club and I think he'll be a top signing. "The chairman backed me on this one by paying a fee, which isn't something I've done in my tenure here as manager. "I really appreciate the help and it's a sign that we want to be competitive again next season." Huddersfield-born Akins has also played for Scottish clubs Hamilton and Partick as well as Tranmere.
