Westley relishing Watford clash

Graham Westley is excited about the prospect of a local derby after Stevenage drew Watford in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The two sides will meet at Broadhall Way during the week commencing August 11. "To draw a local club in a derby fixture is terrific for club finances and to draw a Championship club with such a strong team is a great opportunity for our players to prove themselves as being better than the level they will start at this season," Westley told the club's official website. "We beat Ipswich at home at this stage last season and we will be a stronger team this year, so of course we have a winning chance. Taking it won't be easy. But beating League 2 opponents won't be easy either. Football is a tough game." The two sides have cancelled an arranged friendly after drawing each other in the cup.
