Westley: Boro on the up

Stevenage manager Graham Westley feels his side did not resemble one struggling at the bottom after a battling 0-0 draw with Wolves.

The visitors and league leaders came into this match as big favourites but came up against a fired-up home side who created just as many chances as their more illustrious opponents. Both goalkeepers came away with credit from a match that leaves Stevenage one point off safety and Wolves still on course for promotion back to the Championship. Westley said: "You want to win your home games and not spill too many points but Wolves are a top side. "They're champions-elect, they're in good form, they've not been conceding too many goals while scoring plenty. "It was always going to be a game that people probably think was there for them to win rather than us but I thought the lads showed what I've been saying. "That is that in 2014 since we brought one or two in, we haven't been a bottom side. "We're bottom because of the start we had to the season and we've been a mid-table side in our results recently as we're unbeaten in eight of our last 10. "The side's growing, developing and improving all the time and I thought that was a strong performance. "I thought it was an entertaining game and it was one that either side could have won, although we had the better chances."
