Stevenage forward Filipe Morais is relieved to have put his injury problems behind him after starting against Portsmouth.
The 27-year-old has been struggling with ankle trouble for much of 2013 but is back to fitness and was thrown in from the start by new manager Graham Westley for the goalless draw at Fratton Park.
"It wasn't long ago that I was injured and out for six or seven weeks, it was a big ask because I've not trained a lot, but I got nearly 90 minutes so I'm really happy with that," he told the club's official website.
"The manager has been keen on getting me straight in which has been good, and he likes me up front which I am delighted with as well because I feel I can make more of an impact up there so it has been good, I couldn't ask for more really.
"I hung in there, and it's good because it's in the tank now and I'll be in a much better position next Saturday.
"I can work hard again all week, have a few more runs and I'll be looking good for next Saturday."
