Brunt eyes double figures

Leyton Orient's on-loan striker Ryan Brunt wants to take his goals tally into double figures before the end of the year.

The Stoke teenager scored the winner against Hartlepool on Tuesday, moving him on to three for the season, and he hopes it will spark a run of form in front of goal. "I'd like to aim for 10 before January," he told the Guardian Series. "That would be a good target and then I could push on from there. "It's always good to have a target in mind. I'd love to double that by the end of the season and you have to think positively, don't you?" And Brunt believes the O's will be able to use the victory over Pools as a springboard for the rest of the campaign. "If we build on our results now then we need to try and get in the play-offs," he added. "There's no stopping us. We're no worse than the sides around us and I think we're much better than some of them. If we can get a couple of good results up to Christmas and into January then we're going to be in or around it."
