Gillespie, White and Bond all agree new two-year deals
Steven Gillespie, John White and Andrew Bond have all penned contract extensions at Colchester.
A productive day for Us boss John Ward has seen him retain the services of three key men ahead of the summer break.
Popular frontman Gillespie, who ended the 2010/11 campaign with a run of nine goals in 18 appearances, has signed up for another two years.
"I've been keen to do this as soon as possible and this way I can concentrate on having a good pre-season and continuing scoring next season," he told the club's
official website.
"I want to score plenty of goals over those two seasons that I've signed up for and I am excited about the prospect of getting those goals again next season."
Midfielder Bond has penned a two-year extension to his current deal, keeping him at the club until 2014.
Massive achievement
Having made the breakthrough into the League ranks following a move from Barrow last summer, he said: "I have really enjoyed my time at Colchester so far, so I was delighted to be able to sign this contract.
"To play 40 games is a massive achievement for me and to be offered this new deal is great and I couldn't wait to sign."
Finally, versatile defender White has also committed his future to the Us for another two years.
He said: "I am over the moon to have re-signed and to have committed myself to the club.
"The ideal situation for me was always to have stayed if that chance was given to me. I am pleased that I have been offered a two-year deal and that really sealed it for me."
