Oxford have announced that first-team coach Andy Melville is to leave the club after spending five years at the Kassam Stadium.
The former Wales international, who played over 150 times for the U's between 1990 and 1993, joined the club's coaching staff in 2009.
The 45-year-old told the club's official website: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club. It is my first full-time coaching role and I have learned so much over the last five years.
"I have worked with some tremendous people and it has been a privilege to work at the club.
"I now feel that the time is right to move on. I don't have a specific job out there to go to but I would like the opportunity to take stock and see what is available.
"I am sad to be leaving but I know the club is in good hands and hopefully there are exciting times ahead for both myself and Oxford United."
