Keeper set for trial
Middlesbrough have taken Jamie Ashdown on trial as they continue to look at their goalkeeping options.
The 31-year-old is without a club after leaving Portsmouth at the end of last season.
He has been linked with a number of Championship clubs, but has now accepted an invite from Boro to take part in pre-season with them.
Boro only have England U21 ace Jason Steele and Connor Ripley as senior keepers in their squad and want at least one more experienced shot-stopper.
They already have Swiss goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler on trial from FC Basel.
