Mullins rues Scott dismissal

Rotherham defender Johnny Mullins was sad to see former boss Andy Scott lose his job.

The Millers disposed of Scott's services last week, after he failed to deliver on a pre-season promise of promotion, and were put in the temporary charge of his assistant Darren Patterson. Mullins was a regular in the side under Scott and one of his final acts in the job was to give Mullins a new two-year deal. "I was personally disappointed. He was very good with me, I couldn't really have asked for much more," he said. "He kept me in the side after my injury and then recently with the new contract so it was disappointing but we all know the downfalls of football so it's about moving on and pushing this club forward. "(Scott's failure) certainly wasn't down to lack of hard work. It's disappointing it didn't work out for the gaffer, but it's a new era now and we are all positive."
