Rotherham defender Johnny Mullins has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2014.

The 26-year-old, who can play either right-back or centre-back, has been one of the stellar performers in the Millers' campaign and with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, he has been rewarded with a new deal. "I'm over the moon to be staying here, especially with the way the club is going and the new stadium," Mullins told the club's official website. "It has been a very smooth process. I was told recently that the club wanted to offer me a new deal and I'm really pleased at just how quickly it has all been done. "The gaffer has said he's been pleased with what I've been doing but I won't rest on my laurels. I just want to kick on from here and help the team kick on too."
