Hot-Shot Hylton happy to stay

Danny Hylton has cooled transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Aldershot, saying: "I've got a job to do here."

The 22-year-old has bagged 12 goals in all competitions so far this term, double the amount he managed over all of last season. Hylton's strike-rate, which is on a par with the best in League Two, has naturally seen him mentioned as a transfer target for rival clubs. Yet he told BBC Surrey: "You hear this and that but I've got a job to do here. I'm an Aldershot player. I've been here for a long time and I'm enjoying myself. I'm just looking to play more games and score more goals." Hylton, however, insists there is plenty of time down the road to open talks over a new deal with Shots. "I've got a contract here until the end of the season and have a year option in there," he added. "If the club take it up, I'm here for a year-and-a-half. There's no rush to do anything at the minute."
