Brabin eyes Constable swoop

Luton Town boss Gary Brabin wants to bring Oxford striker James Constable to Kenilworth Road to play in the Conference.

The Hatters had an offer rejected this summer for the 26-year-old former U's captain, who scored 15 times in League Two last season, but Brabin has hinted he would be willing to make another approach. Brabin told BBC Three Counties Radio: "It's something we're still keen or interested in doing, but we're not throwing all our eggs in one basket. "I've got a good relationship with the people behind the scenes at Oxford. "We enquired and went a step forward and put a bid in. We haven't done it, there's no bad feeling."
