Keeper attracting foreign interest
Skysports.com understands Bury goalkeeper Wayne Brown is a surprise target for a number of South African clubs.
Brown's current deal expires in the summer with Bury having the option to extend it, but he could feasibly be a free agent at the end of the season.
The news has alerted South African duo Santos and Mamelodi Sundowns as well as Belgian side Charleroi.
The 33-year-old has impressed during his two years at Gigg Lane and his form has not gone unnoticed.
Brown's agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill has confirmed that the keeper has attracted interest from abroad and that he is weighing up his options.
"Yes I have had communications with teams abroad about Wayne Brown," Learoyd-Hill told skysports.com.
"But until the season finishes, and we have had time to take stock, we won't be rushing into any decisions about Wayne's future."
