Hatters star could be on the move in January

Skysports.com understands Scunthorpe are eyeing a move for Stockport defender Michael Raynes. Stockport are facing a losing battle to keep hold of the 22-year-old with his contract due to expire in the summer. A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring Raynes' situation, but Scunthorpe are hoping to lure the highly-rated centre-back to Glanford Park. Raynes' agent, Phil Sproson, has confirmed the player is likely to move on in January if Stockport receive a suitable offer. "Michael is out of contract in the summer and if he doesn't leave in January I would expect him to move on at the end of the season," Sproson told skysports.com. "I think with Stockport's financial situation they would consider cashing in on him in January if the right offer comes along. "Scunthorpe have shown a little bit of interest and there are a number of other clubs keeping tabs on Michael."
