Sheffield United have signed former Peterborough defender Craig Alcock on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old turned down an offer to rejoin Posh, who only released the player in May after 39 appearances last term, to join the Blades and becomes manager Nigel Clough's eighth summer signing. "We are delighted to get Craig, who has experience of the top end of this division and also the Championship in recent times," Clough told the club's official website. "A major advantage is he can play anywhere across the back four and that will be hugely beneficially through what is a very, very long season."
