Former Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini is in talks with Mexico, according to his agent.
Pellegrini spent just a year at the Santiago Bernabeu and was axed at the end of last season after failing to win a single trophy.
Mexico are on the lookout for a new manager following the resignation of Javier Aguirre after the World Cup.
Chilean Pellegrini, who was linked with the Liverpool job before the appointment of Roy Hodgson, is now taking some time to consider his options ahead of the new season.
"There is an offer from Mexico and we're in conversations with them," Jesus Martinez, Pellegrini's agent, told Radio Agricultura in Chile.
And Martinez says his client may be tempted by El Tri.
"Mexico is a possibility," added Martinez.
