Bradley: Axed as US boss
USA have confirmed that coach Bob Bradley has been sacked as coach of the national team.
Bradley had been in the post for five years but was under mounting pressure - despite the fact they made the final of last month's Gold Cup.
Bradley, whose son Michael is a member of the national team, took over as coach in 2007 after the US disappointed at the 2006 World Cup finals.
He won the Gold Cup in 2007 and guided them to the second round of the World Cup finals last year.
But now he has lost his job as US Soccer President Sunil Gulati confirmed.
"We want to thank Bob Bradley for his service and dedication to US soccer during the past five years," said Gulati.
"During his time as the head coach of our men's national team he led the team to a number of accomplishments, but we felt now was the right time for us to make a change.
"It is always hard to make these decisions, especially when it involves someone we respect as much as Bob.
"We wish him the best in his future endeavours."
