Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium will host an international friendly between Brazil and Chile in March.

The World Cup semi-finalists will face a Chile side likely to contain Gunners forward Alexis Sanchez on Sunday, March 29, with a 3pm kick-off.

The game represents the first time the teams have met since the World Cup in Brazil last summer, when the hosts won a dramatic encounter 3-2 on penalties, after finishing 1-1 after extra time in one of the tournament’s best and most fiercely fought matches.

It will act as preparation for both sides for this summer’s Copa America tournament in Chile and will be the seventh time the Brazil national team has played at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis said: “Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is proud to once again be hosting a high-profile international match at Emirates Stadium.

“The national teams of Brazil and Chile have many fantastic players and the match will give football fans the opportunity to watch an international friendly of the highest calibre."
