Wigan are believed to have agreed a fee with Birmingham for the Chile international and they are now set to hold talks with the player
Birmingham are resigned to losing Beausejour as they look to trim their wage bill to ease their financial troubles.
The 27-year-old, who joined Birmingham from Club America in January 2010, has impressed this season for Chris Hughton's men.
Beasejour has been a long-term target for Wigan boss Roberto Martinez and they just missed out on signing the 27-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Martinez is desperate to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes and he sees Beausejour as someone who can boost their bid to avoid relegation.
