Hercules star Nelson Valdez insists that the club are not over-reliant on him or David Trezeguet.
Valdez and Trezeguet arrived in the summer and have performed admirably, scoring nine goals between them already - indeed they are the only players to have scored for the Alicante outfit so far.
Hercules sit just fourth from bottom of La Liga, but Valdez is adamant that they are more than just a two-man side.
"I honestly do not believe that Hercules is not Valdez dependent, because the team is not just Valdez and Trezeguet," he told AS.
"We have to be a team and not rely on individuals, I do not think this is relevant because at Sevilla when I, for example, was not on the field, I thought that was our best game we have played.
"I think at best Hercules is a little better but you cannot say they are totally dependant."
Valdez is currently sidelined with an ankle problem, but he hopes to be back shortly.
"I always want to help the team but it is not worth risking the ankle for one match and then having to stop for much longer," he added.
