Midfielder denies reports he is heading to the MLS

Veteran midfielder Dejan Stankovic has made it clear that he wants to remain at Inter Milan next season. The former Serbia international, 33, only featured in 19 Serie A matches after an injury-hit campaign. And recent reports in the Italian media indicated the former Lazio player could be set to leave the San Siro for the MLS after eight years at the San Siro. However, Stankovic has laughed off suggestions he could be on his way to America and is happy to remain with the Serie A giants. "I've read that I'm apparently thinking of a move to America, but there is no truth in it," he told FSS. "My Inter contract lasts another two years and I'm definitely staying. "I've spoken to boss Andrea Stramaccioni and we are on the same wavelength. "He is doing a great job, his ideas are crystal clear and as far as I have heard, even president Massimo Moratti has promised many new faces this summer, so I'm really not thinking about leaving Inter."
