Ivorian open to summer switch

Siaka Tiene has admitted he would welcome the opportunity to move to England this summer. The Valenciennes midfielder has been strongly linked with a host of Premier League clubs of late, with the likes of Sunderland and Wigan believed to be leading the chase. The Ivory Coast international does still have two years left to run on his contract in France, but he feels that would not be a problem should a suitable offer materialise. "I have always dreamt of playing in the Premier League," he said. "It is the best league in the world and I want to go and play there. I would like to go there if an agreement can be reached with my club. "However, if I don't leave it would not be a disaster. It would, though, be fantastic for my career to play in England." Asked about rumours suggesting he could be on his way to Sunderland, Tiene said: "It is all still speculation at the moment, there is nothing definite. "That means I cannot comment on that directly. Let's just say if a club want me, they have to make an offer to my club and speak to my advisers in England."
