Rowett: Burton must stay strong

Burton boss Gary Rowett claimed his side needs to stay stronger as they were beaten 3-0 by Doncaster in the JPT.

Rowett, who was overseeing his side's 15th game of the season, said a poor first half let the Brewers down. "The first 15 minutes we started very brightly, got into some excellent positions and looked a little bit more like the team that played the first 10 games," he told the club's official website. "In the last four out of five games we've conceded very poor goals and it seems to deflate us. "That's my biggest worry at the moment that when we go a goal down it seems to affect us. I spoke about it to them in the week and said we have to be a little bit stronger than that. "If we score the first goal then great, we can hang on, defend and keep our shape, but if we concede the first goal, why does that change straightaway?" But despite his team's third defeat in four games, Rowett believes it will only be a matter of time before they turn their form around. "I've just said to the lads that I've never seen a team so disappointed and so deflated, despite being one point off the top in third. "I think the issue is they've not got to be so disheartened about it and the only way you can turn a poor run around is by working hard and stick together. "We can change ever so quickly and there's one or two in there who need to have a little bit more belief."
