Burton boss Gary Rowett thought his team stood up well to claim a 1-1 draw against an in-form Chesterfield on Saturday.
The visitors went in front through Jacques Maghoma and held it until Marc Richards rescued a deserved point with his fourth goal of the season, although Chesterfield had Jack Lester sent off in stoppage time.
Rowett said: "I'm really proud. It was an excellent performance and you've got to appreciate this was a team that beat Cheltenham 4-1 here.
"I was thoroughly pleased with the performance. We wanted to contain them and although we couldn't hang on for the win, it was a very good point against a very good side.
"They have spent a lot of money and invested really well. They've got some terrific players - I wouldn't mind one or two of them in my team - so it was a thoroughly good away performance."
