Slade looking to land Symes and Baudry

Sky Sports understands that Leyton Orient are close to completing the double signing of former Bournemouth duo Michael Symes and Mathieu Baudry. The pair were released by the Cherries at the end of last season and are currently available as free agents. Orient may, however, be about to offer them an immediate return to the League One ranks. Symes and Baudry competed in the third tier last season, helping Bournemouth to an 11th place finish. They were deemed surplus to requirements by the South Coast outfit, but Orient boss Russell Slade believes they will be useful additions to his squad.

Important

He has already announced that he is closing in on the signature of two fresh faces - believed to be Symes and Baudry. Slade told the club's official website: "We've had to be patient this summer but we're now very close to signing two important players for us." Former Everton trainee Symes is an experienced striker who has turned out for nine Football League clubs over the course of his career. Baudry is a French defender who came close to joining Leeds United before finally securing a move to England in the summer of 2011.
