Crawley Town have signed much-travelled striker Gary Alexander from League One club Brentford.

The 32-year-old has agreed a loan switch until the end of the season when the move will be made permanent. Alexander has scored 14 goals for the Bees this season and has previously had spells with West Ham, Swindon, Exeter, Hull, Millwall and Leyton Orient. Town manager Steve Evans told the club's official website: "To get a player of Gary's quality and consistent scoring record is fantastic, especially as we have taken him from a club pushing for promotion to the Championship where he is also top scorer. "He really is an outstanding addition to our squad." Alexander is in line to make his Crawley debut at Macclesfield on Saturday.
