MacDonald keen for Argyle stay

Alex MacDonald could not be happier with the proposed extension of his loan deal at Plymouth Argyle.

The Burnley striker, who has scored three times in four appearances since making the temporary switch to Devon last month, is set to prolong his stay with Argyle before the emergency loan window closes this week. And the 21-year-old believes a longer stint with the League Two club will only aid his development as a player. He told the Plymouth Herald: "I'm delighted. I've come down and played pretty much every game and I'm enjoying my time down here. "I'm not sure how long the loan is going to be for yet, but I think it might take me until the end of the season. "It's a good club which shouldn't be where it is (four places off the bottom of the Football League), but it is there and I'm going to try to be a part of getting the club back to where it should be."
