Pesch rues bad defending

Paul Peschisolido blamed a combination of missed chances and an isolated defensive lapse for Burton's 1-1 draw at home to Rotherham.

Burton's run without a win was extended to eight games after Calvin Zola put the Brewers in front against the improving Millers, only to see Shaun Harrad - the striker Peschisolido sold 13 months ago - grab a second-half equaliser with his third goal in as many games on loan from Bury. After Saturday's draw at the Pirelli in League Two, Brewers boss Peschisolido said: "Once again, we should have killed the game off with all the good possession we had and the chances we created. "We managed to get one goal but there was not enough end-product and, in fairness to Rotherham, they stopped us playing in the second half. "On top of that we conceded a sloppy goal from a ball that was scuffed into our area. We need to defend better than that. It was a case of so near but so far for us again. We've got to work harder and concentrate harder to avoid these lapses. "I feel gutted because it's a game we could and should have won. We had a great opportunity to go 2-0 up and right at the end we had other chances. It's very frustrating right now. But we mustn't get too downbeat about things because we played some great football at times and we're moving in the right direction."
