Webster eyes Brewers spot

Aaron Webster is confident he has regained Burton's left-back spot on a permanent basis.

The long-serving defender was dismissed at Gillingham last month which ruled him out of the next fixture with Bradford, and he then had to make do with a place on the bench against Rotherham and Cheltenham. However he returned to the starting line-up to make his 555th appearance for the Brewers in their 2-1 victory over Bristol Rovers and insists he does not intend to relinquish his position to Danny Blanchett again. "From my point of view, I think I should be in the team every week when I'm fit," he told the Burton Mail. "I didn't really think I had anything to prove after being left out of the starting line-up since my suspension. "The gaffer knows what I'm about and I'm happy he put me back in."
