Tranmere striker Adam McGurk has given his manager Les Parry a boost by signing a new one-year deal with the club.
The 22-year old's new contract also includes a further one-year option should Tranmere wish to extend it.
Rovers boss Parry said: "I'm really pleased Adam will be with us again next season. He showed the real quality he has towards the end of the season with his goals against Bournemouth and Leyton Orient.
"Two of them were superb strikes from outside the area and the other was a real goal poacher's finish from close range. Adam has a lot of potential and hopefully he'll push on next season and get into double figures."
McGurk added: "I'm happy to get my contract sorted so I can focus on next season. The last couple of months of the season went really well for me and hopefully I can carry that on."
McGurk joined Rovers last summer after progressing through the youth system at Aston Villa. He made 24 appearances, scoring three goals.
