Skysports.com understands Bristol Rovers are set to complete a double loan swoop for Arnaud Mendy and Rene Howe.
New boss Dave Penney is looking to inject some extra quality into his squad as they lie third from bottom in League One.
Midfielder Mendy, 20, has found his chances limited at Derby and was loaned out to Tranmere Rovers earlier this term where he scored just once.
However, Rovers believe his youthful energy can add another dimension to their squad.
Midfielder Howe, 24, has also found his opportunities limited at London Road and was shunted out on-loan earlier this season to Rushden & Diamonds.
He spell there was hugely impressive and led to several league clubs expressing an interest in him but Rovers appear to have won his signature.
