Stags midfielder to move on

Macclesfield have agreed a deal with out-of-contract Mansfield midfielder Lee Bell. The former Crewe trainee appeared 28 times for the Stags, scoring one goal since his arrival from Conference Premier side Burton last summer. The 25-year-old has now agreed a one-year deal at Moss Rose. "I enjoyed my time at Mansfield and would like to wish the club, its staff and supporters the best for the future," e told the club's official website: "I hope everything gets sorted this summer so the club can bounce straight back to the Football League."

Mullins

Meanwhile, Mansfield defender Johnny Mullins has not completely ruled out remaining at Field Mill next season. The Stags' player of the season rejected a new contract with the relegated League Two outfit in order to ply his trade as high as he possibly can. However, he has not ruled out signing an improved offer if it were put on the table. When asked if he would sign a better deal, Mullins told the club's official website: "I can't say to be honest, you don't know what's around the corner in life. If they offer another contract and it's right for me then maybe I will sign it. But I'm not rejecting contracts for the reasons people think I am, it's purely because I want to play in a higher league. "It's a chance for me to better my football career. I've enjoyed my time here thoroughly, the fans have been brilliant to me personally and I've got on well with all the players, management staff and backroom staff that I've had here."
