St Johnstone midfielder David Robertson has been told he will be released by the club next month.
Robertson has been informed he will not be getting a new deal when his current contract expires in January.
The 27-year-old was given a short-term deal in the summer following his recovery from a broken leg.
However, Robertson has struggled for fitness this season and has not figured for St Johnstone this term.
Saints boss Tommy Wright confirmed it was a tough decision to make to let Robertson go, but expects the former Dundee United man to fix himself up with a new club.
"Robbo is a great lad and I've no doubt he'll pick up a club," said Wright. "But I've had to make the decision based on the circumstances and sentiment can't come into it."
