St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas was happy to take the postives after grinding out a 0-0 draw with Inverness on the final SPL Saturday of 2012.
Billy McKay and Andrew Shinnie both had two one-on-ones in the opening stages while David McCracken's header was cleared off the line.
Lomas said: "I thought it was set up to be two attacking teams and it probably turned out to be a little bit of an anti-climax.
"Inverness had a couple early and then I thought it became pretty even Stevens.
"In these tight games when you get your chances you have got to take them.
"Gregory had a chance, one-on-one with their goalkeeper. You could say he made
a good save but when it's so tight you have got to take those opportunities when
they come along.
"The plus side is we are the first team to stop Inverness scoring in a while so we'll take the positives."
