Striker aiming to make the most of his loan spell at Cheltenham

Steven MacLean admits he is in the shop window after joining Cheltenham Town on loan for the rest of the season from Yeovil Town. The striker joined the Glovers on a one-year contract last summer, but has scored just four goals in 24 appearances for the League One club. He linked up with Cheltenham before last week's loan deadline and made his debut in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Oxford United. The 29-year-old is determined to make the most of his opportunity at Whaddon Road as he looks to secure a contract for next season. "I've got a point to prove to a few people," said MacLean. "Hopefully I'll perform well here and get a few goals. "I'm here to help the team but also to put myself in the shop window. "I'm going to work really hard. This was my first game for a while, so I should get better along the way."
