With Mario Balotelli accused of being "disrespectful" by his own Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard after assuming penalty duties ahead of designated taker Jordan Henderson against Besiktas on Thursday night, we examine the complete penalty records of Premier League players this season.
The most prolific penalty takers with 100 per cent records in all competitions so far this season are Gerrard for Liverpool, Arsenal's Santi Cazorla and Tottenham winger Andros Townsend. All three men have taken and scored five penalties for their clubs so far this season.
Sergio Aguero has also found the net five times from the spot for Manchester City but erred with one of his three penalties against Tottenham in October. The usually reliable Eden Hazard also has a blemish on his record after slipping up against Maribor in the Champions League in November.
