Wenger attracted widespread criticism after making wholesale changes for Saturday's FA Cup shock 1-0 defeat to Blackburn at the Emirates. Europe's top-tier competition is now the Gunners' only realistic hope of ending an eight-year trophy drought, while their hopes of even being in the competition next season hang in the balance as they trail fourth-placed Tottenham by four points. Wenger's men face a difficult task on Tuesday night as they host a Bayern side who stretched their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to 15 points with a fifth successive win without conceding, while they boast a phenomenal record on the road this season, dropping just two points domestically. In a poll on skysports.com, a slender majority of 51 per cent voted in favour of Wenger still being at the Emirates helm come the start of the 2013/14 season.

Sky Bet offer more support for the under-fire manager, going 100/30 that a new man will in charge come the start of the season, although they have opened betting on the club's next boss. David Moyes, whose contract with Everton expires in the summer, is the 8/1 joint favourite to replace Wenger along with Jose Mourinho (8/1) and Michael Laudrup (8/1). Questions over Wenger's future will surely be muted if he can lead them to a first Champions League triumph, but Sky Bet offer little hope on that front, going 33/1 for them to lift the trophy. The bookmaker make the Bavarians strong favourites to make the quarter-finals and odds-on to establish a first-leg lead, with Arsenal 14/5 to win at the Emirates. Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "Opinion certainly seems divided over whether Wenger's time should come to an end, but given the longevity of his stay we assume he will be given more time. "It looks a difficult task for Arsenal progress past in-form Bayern, while they are odds-against to secure a top-four finish - failure to do either would represent a low-point in his reign and would certainly prompt us to cut his odds of leaving."
