Luis Suarez

The striker is odds-on to swap Anfield for the Bernabeu this summer after reiterating his intentions to move on. Punters backed Real Madrid in from 11/1 to as short as 1/3 after their president Florentino Perez spoke of his appreciation for the 26-year-old, while the controversial frontman has stated that such a move would be difficult to turn down. Bayern Munich are considered the main competition for the striker's signature, while staying at Liverpool is a 5/2 chance.

Wayne Rooney

David Moyes has been handed a challenging first task as Manchester United manager in keeping hold of the England striker, who has handed in a transfer request for a second time. When we opened betting on whether he will stay of go this summer, Rooney was quickly backed in from evens to odds-on to leave but the price has since drifted back out. Betting on his next club remains wide open, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Arsenal the favourites to secure his services. Manchester City have also attracted some money but they're a hefty 40/1.

Gareth Bale

The Tottenham star has emerged as one of the game's most in-demand players following a stunning campaign, which has seen him clean up at the end-of-season awards and will undoubtedly see him the subject of some significant bids this summer. Spurs' hopes of holding on to his services looked to suffer a blow as they missed out on Champions League football, but there are now strong suggestions that he is set to sign a new contract. With Real Madrid president Florentino Perez stating "Bale was born to play in Madrid", the Spanish giants are favourites to secure his services, followed by Manchester United. Given his qualities, Europe's biggest clubs are considered in the betting but Spurs remain hopeful that he will stay faithful.

Edinson Cavani

The Uruguay striker's days at Napoli look to be numbered with one of Europe's top sides expected to activate his release clause. Manchester City and Chelsea are the best backed sides to secure for his signature, but Real Madrid's price has tumbled since his agent indicated that the Bernabeu is his preferred destination. The frontman is currently tied down to a long-term contract but new boss Rafael Benitez appears to face a tough task in holding on to his star striker, who recently admitted: "It's all a mystery and no-one knows what will happen".

Cesc Fabregas

The Spaniard has struggled to establish a key role at Barcelona since returning to the Nou Camp two years back and the Catalans are now thought to be open to offers. Arsenal have been best backed and are our favourites but, while he clearly holds fond feelings toward the Gunners, whether returning to the Emirates would be deemed as a backwards step remains to be seen. Manchester United follow in the betting and are looking light in midfield with Darren Fletcher still struggling with health problems and Paul Scholes retiring again.

Gonzalo Higuain

Juventus were quickly backed into favourites to sign the Real Madrid striker after he revealed his intention to leave the Bernabeu this summer. The 'Old Lady' have also been linked with Stevan Jovetic and Carlos Tevez as they look to build side capable of competing with Europe's finest, having won back-to-back Serie A titles despite lacking a prolific frontman. Arsenal are second favourites given their sizeable budget and need for a clinical finisher, while Monaco and Liverpool are also considered options.

Christian Benteke

Aston Villa look set to face a summer of fending off suitors for their star man despite avoiding relegation. The Belgium striker enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League, netting 19 goals and making the PFA Young Player of the Year shortlist. Liverpool are considered favourites to secure his services followed by Arsenal and Tottenham, but meagre stakes imply that a stay at Villa Park looks most likely.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football, netting eight times for Malaga this season. New Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is thought to want to take the player with him to the Etihad Stadium. However, Real Madrid have also been backed to capture his signature following a run of bets.

The 21-year-old looked destined to return to Liverpool in January with the Reds odds-on to sign him. However, nothing materialised and Tottenham are now best backed to sign the winger with the Reds out to 5/2, while Reading and Swansea are also considered in the betting at 12/1 apiece.

Marouane Fellaini

Arsenal have been well backed to sign the Everton midfielder amid talk of activating a £24million release clause. The towering 25-year-old hardly fits the typical profile of an Arsene Wenger signing, but a move to the Emirates is now rated odds-on. The early money came for Fellaini to follow David Moyes to Manchester United and the Premier League champions are now considered second favourites to secure his services.

Carlos Tevez

Serie A seems to be calling for the Manchester City striker, with money on Juventus and AC Milan securing his services. Juve seem to be linked with every available striker and are considered the odds-on favourites to land Tevez, with City expected sign another striker this summer. Big-spending French duo Monaco and PSG are also typically considered as possible suitors if Manuel Pellegrini doesn't see Tevez as part of his plans.
