Steven Gerrard joins Ryan Giggs, Jamie Carragher on 500 Premier League appearances list

Steven Gerrard made his 500th Premier League appearance in Liverpool’s draw at West Brom, a landmark only 11 other players have passed.

The 34-year-old Liverpool captain made his top flight debut in November 1998 against Blackburn and has gone on to score 117 league goals for the club.  

After 17 years in the Premier League, Gerrard will swap Liverpool for LA Galaxy this summer when he moves to play in the MLS.

Former team-mate Jamie Carragher (508) set the record for the most Premier League appearances by a Liverpool player, while Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs holds the overall record.

The most decorated player in English football history, Giggs won 13 Premier League titles and scored 114 top flight goals for Manchester United.
