Get to the heart of the big football talking points with Sky Sports' brand new debate programme, The Footballers' Football Show.

Hosted by David Jones, our weekly 90-minute discussion will see some of the figures at the top of the sport talking about the big issues affecting the Beautiful Game.

On our opening show, David will welcome the following three names into the studio....

NIALL QUINN - the former Manchester City, Arsenal and Republic of Ireland striker also knows about life in the board room and the dugout from his days at Sunderland.

CLARKE CARLISLE - The ex-Blackpool, QPR and Burnley defender is also Chairman of the Management Committee of the PFA.

UWE ROSLER - Famed for his playing days at Manchester City, the German has played and managed across Europe and is currently in charge of League One side Brentford.

The trio will join us for an intelligent debate on some of the deepest issues of the week, including:

OLYMPIC LESSONS - What can football - at all levels - learn from the festival of sport that gripped the nation for the past few weeks?

WORLD CUP QUALIFYING - On the back of England's friendly with Italy, our panel will look at what lies ahead on the road to Brazil.

RACISM - Chelsea's John Terry has recently denied an FA charge of using "abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour" against QPR's Anton Ferdinand last October and after the England captain was cleared of legal charges in this summer's infamous court case, we'll look at the issue of racism in football.

THE NEW SEASON - We'll look at what lies ahead as the English league season prepares to kick off on Saturday.

Tune in at 8pm on Sky Sports 1 HD this Thursday evening for the first episode - and then log on to skysports.com the following morning to have YOUR say in our online debate.
