Austrian international Phillip Hosiner admits he is hoping to finalise a move to Hoffenheim.

The 24-year-old is currently with Austria Vienna, but Hoffenheim have made a move to secure his services.

However, the two clubs seems some way apart in terms of valuation.

"No player or manager from a club in Austria can turn down a serious approach from a club from Germany. That is a fact," he told Osterreich newspaper

"Hoffenheim 1899 has been very busy convincing me and I really had a great feeling right from the start.

"I want to join the club, an other club is not an issue for me at this point in time."

Hosiner had also attracted interest from England earlier in the summer.

Meanwhile, one player heading in the opposite direction - to Austria from Hoffenheim - is Sandro Wieser.

The Liechtenstein midfielder has agreed a year-long loan with SV Ried.

Stefan Reiter, the general manager of SV Ried, told his club's official website: "Sandro Wieser is able to feature in central midfield as well as in a holding midfield role.

"He is a left-footed player, this has been an important fact from our point of view. Since we are lacking left-footed players in midfield."
